Lemi and Dylan are running an adventurous journey: 3 day, 2 night hike from 2 to 4 October 2026 along a section of the Great North Walk from Mount Kuringai to Hawkesbury River Station (see schedule below). 

Please only sign up if you are invited by Lemi and Dylan, as the patrol size is limited. Attendees must have core outdoor adventure skills (camping, bushwalking and bushcraft) at level 4 or higher and need to familiarise themselves with the Activity plan, Risk assessment, Route plan and maps linked below. There will also be an online briefing in the lead up to the hike that you will need to attend.

Friday 2nd of October:
7:00 am - Meet at the top of Epping Station
8:05 am - Enter Benowie walking track
10:20 am - Arrive at crosslands reserve
11:30 am - Arrive at Junction Rock
1:30 pm - Lunch at Naa Badu Lookout
4:45 pm - Reach Ridge Top Campground
8:30 pm - Sleep

Saturday 3rd of October:
6:00 am - Wake up, pack and eat breakfast
7:00am - Start hiking to cowan
8:30 am - Refill water at Cowan
9:00 am - Arrive at Jerusalem Bay
12:45 pm - Arrive at brooklyn dam campsite and have lunch
8:30 pm -sleep

Sunday 4th of October:
6:15 am - Wake up and pack
7:30 am - Start hiking brooklyn dam trail
8:10 am - Turn onto Hobo Hill track
9:25 am - Arrive at Mckell Park. Explore and rest for a bit before the ferry.
10:00 am - Catch ferry to Dangar island
10:30 am - Explore Dangar Island
12:15pm - Return to Hawkesbury River Station via the 12:15 ferry.
12:30 pm - Catch next public transport back
