Dear Scouts,
We will be taking part in a Sydney North Region Scout Abseiling Day. Our session is 2 hours long, so don't be late. This activity will qualify participants for aspects of OAS Vertical Abseiling - please check your OAS books.
MAXIMUM 20 participants. (MINIMUM 15)
Scouts attending SHOULD attend the Pre-Abseiling Activity night on Friday, 12th June 2026 to get the pre-activity briefing and safety information.

Location: Lindfield Rocks - off Tryon Rd Lindfield (opposite 83 Tryon Rd)
Meet at 11.45am in the car park at the Tennis Courts. There are toilets and water there. We will walk to the cliff a a group.
Pick up will be at 2.15pm in the same location.
What to Bring - more details at pre-abseil activity night on FRIDAY, 12th June 2026
- Water bottle
- Any snacks you want BUT we only have a 2 hour slot, so there is no time for eating lunch etc.
What to wear
- a shirt that is long enough to tuck into the harness,
- shorts (long enough to go under harness leg straps - not shorty shorts) OR pants OR leggings (MUST be comfortable)
- no loose clothing, no scarfs, no hats
- enclosed footwear such as joggers or boots with grip on the sole
Scout uniform is NOT REQUIRED.
The activity will:
- involve both male and female youth members.
- be under direct adult supervision.
Both male and female Leaders will be present.
