Yao and Arthur are running a 3 day, 2 night hike from Katoomba to Ruined Castle and Narrow Neck. Starting 8am Thursday 9 July 2026 at Eastwood Station and returning to Eastwood Station 5pm Saturday 11 July 2026. Participants must have the core outdoor adventure skills (hiking, camping and bushcraft) at level 4 or above and will need to bring their own food, water, tent, pack, warm clothes, wet weather gear, winter sleeping bag, and their Opal card for the train. Aside from food and train fares, there is no cost. Scouts and parents please review linked map, activity plan and route plan. There will be a briefing for parents and Scouts via MS Teams in the lead up to the hike.
Day 1 - Eastwood Station to Katoomba Station, hike to Ruined Castle Campsite via Echo Point & Giant Stairway.
Day 2 - Ruined Castle Campsite to Narrow Neck Plateau via Golden Stairs, returning to Ruined Castle Campsite.
Day 3 - Ruined Castle Campsite to Katoomba via Giant Stairway, returning to Eastwood Station.
