Dragon Skin is the Premier camping competition for Venturer Scouts in NSW. It always takes place over the EASTER WEEKEND. Venturers hike to various activities during the day and camp in overnight camps supervised by adult Leaders and Rovers.
The 40th annual Dragon Skin will be at Penrose State Forest to the south of Sydney near Mittagong from the 18th April to the 21st of April 2025.
The theme for 2025 will be "The Best of the Best", each Venturer Overnight Camp (VOC) will be revisiting the Best of the Best themes from the past 40 years of Dragon Skin.
Are you not the Greatest? Are you not the best of the best? We think you can be, your team might win the coveted Skin, or maybe you will just do you best, you will at the very least have the BEST TIME at the most fantastic Venturer Scout event of all time, join us as we go all out and show the world WE ARE THE GREATEST, at Dragon Skin 2025 Best of the Best!

- 1st December 2024 – Registrations Open
- 23rd March 2025 – Early Bird Price Ends (Save $20 by completing your application and pay before 23rd March)
- 30th March 2025 – Online Bonus Points Cease
- 6th April 2025 – Registration Bonus Points Cease
- 6th April 2025 – Registration for all youth & adult applications close
- 11th April 2025 – All forms must be fully completed (including Venturer Leader Endorsement) AND all fees paid by 12 Noon
