Epping RSL ANZAC Service & March

Event information
This is an ANZAC Service and March. Parents are welcome to attend. There will be Leader supervision. There are also going to be leaders from other groups there.
Scouting members will assemble at the front of Epping RSL with other sections and groups at 1:30pm. The Service begins in the RSL's upstairs dining room at 2pm.
Following the service everyone will form up out the front of the RSL for the March around to the cenotaph for the wreath laying and then back to the RSL for afternoon tea.
Scouting members should bring/wear:
- BEST Scout uniform, freshly washed and ironed including:
o Scout shirt with all badges sewn on
o Fawn coloured pants (Scout belt or dark blue belt)
o Black leather school shoes, shined. (If you don't have black school shoes, black sneakers are acceptable at a pinch).
o Black/ark blue or fawn coloured socks
o Hair ties for long hair (boys included)
o Scout jacket or black/dark blue jacket
o GOOD rain jacket & umbrella if looking like rain
Scouting members can wear Rosemary and/or ANZAC commemorative badges.
Scouting members may ALSO wear their own medal on left breast AND war medals belonging to relatives - worn on right breast.
Scouting members with BP Award, Queen Scout/Venturer Peak Award, ASM and/or Grey Wolf can wear these awards' woggles and/or medals.
Scouting members with service medals can wear these medals on ribbons around their necks.
As we approach the 100th Anniversary of the start of WWII it is important to commemorate the actions of those who have allowed us to live the way we do.
This activity qualifies Scouting members for the annual "Their Service: Our Heritage" badge if they also visit the RSL's museum.
